For many years, Trein’s has been active in
the Antwerp, Belgium diamond market. Over the years things
have changed on the diamond market, but one thing remains
the same; we are committed to providing a service to our
customers, second to none. Pricing of the diamonds is the
best.
With the “Diamond Broker Program,”
our customers realize a significant difference in the price.
Usually the difference is about 15 to 20%, but can be much
higher on some diamonds.
Why Antwerp? Because it is the
“diamond capital of the world.” More diamonds pass through
Antwerp than any other place in the world. There is more to
choose from and the variety of qualities is massive. It
takes a combination of criteria to exhibit the most
brilliant diamonds. It also takes a qualified buyer to
recognize the best combination of color, cut, clarity and
carat weight.
Color of diamonds refers to the
amount of color, or ideally the lack of color they exhibit.
The best of course is “D” color or no color. Clarity refers
to the amount of inclusions that a diamond contains.
Inclusions are not a terrible thing providing they are not
dark and obvious or that there are not plentiful. We think
that a clarity of SI l or above is important to maximize the
beauty of the diamond.
Carat weight refers to what the
diamonds weighs. Very small diamonds have their own beauty
and very large diamonds, that are more rare can be even more
breath taking. Cut, in our opinion, is the most important of
all. There are correct proportions, especially of a round
diamond, that maximize it's ability to bend light and give
an exciting burst of brilliance!
When you see a diamond that grabs
your attention and you see a rainbow of light and strong
scintillation, you are viewing a diamond that has good
color, cut and clarity. It should be bright, brilliant and
fiery. It should almost take your breath away with it's
beauty.
To utilize our “Diamond Broker
Program” you need to contact us before one of our two buying
trips per year to discuss what is important to you. We can
find anything you would like at an affordable price. If you
are thinking of a diamond, please call or email us.
We buy directly from the cutters
and belong to IJO, the largest diamond buying group in the
world.
