The Dixon Area Garden Club was chartered in 1950 as a
non-profit organization. and has been active in beautifying
the Dixon community with petunia plantings and instilling a
love of gardening. Our membership is composed of a diverse
range of ages and backgrounds, from beginners to quite
experienced gardeners.
We are active in creating, promoting further interests in
gardening, horticulture, floral and landscape design, plant
and bird life, and the appreciation of the natural beauties
of the Dixon area.
We encourage civic beautification and roadside
development in our plantings of over 15,000 petunias each
year.
We assist with conservation projects of our natural
resources.
We help to coordinate the work of volunteers who work on
various city beauification projects and cooperate with other
agencies in furthering interests in educational areas.
